We are from the Territory, not just in it

Northern Purpose was built by people who live here. We know Darwin, we know the NT, and we know what good support looks like on the ground.

Support built on trust, not templates

Northern Purpose started because we saw what inconsistent support looked like, and decided to do it differently. Every participant gets a real plan, familiar workers where possible, and a team that picks up the phone.

We are an independent NDIS service provider supporting self-managed and plan-managed participants. We are not part of a national chain. Decisions are made here, by people accountable to the participants we support.

We started this because we saw participants getting passed around between workers they had never met. We wanted to build something where the relationship actually meant something.

Three things we will never compromise on

01

Consistency

You keep familiar faces where possible. We plan support so participants are not rebuilding trust with a new worker every few weeks.

02

Local knowledge

Our team knows Darwin and the NT. We understand local services, travel in the wet season, and how day-to-day life works here.

03

Accountability

We say what we will do and we do it. If something is not working, we fix it. You always have a direct line to someone who can act.

People who show up

Every person on our team lives and works in the NT. We hire locally, train thoroughly, and keep our team small enough that participants and families know who they are dealing with.

How we got here

Northern Purpose did not start with a business plan. It started with a problem we kept seeing and a decision to fix it. Here is how we have grown since then.

  1. 2017

Blake begins supporting participants independently in Darwin after years working in NT disability services.

  2. 2019

Northern Purpose established as an independent NDIS service provider, supporting participants in Darwin and Palmerston.

  3. 2022

Services expand across daily living, community participation, employment support and group-based activities in the Top End.

  4. 2025

Still locally led, still Darwin-based, and still focused on practical support for self-managed and plan-managed participants.

Connected to Darwin's networks

We work with local organisations, government services, and community groups across the NT so your support is never delivered in isolation.
